Cathedral has two campgrounds open in the core area of the park - Lake of the Woods and Quiniscoe. The latter is in the same area of the privately owned Cathedral Lakes Lodge. The main difference between the campsites is the ability to have campfires at Quiniscoe Lake.

Cathedral Protected Area was established on April 18, 2001, to enhance the ecological viability of Cathedral Park and to protect low elevation forests. This small protected area is an addition to the existing park. The new area provides no additional facilities.

Third time at Cathedral Lakes Prov. Park and it did not disappoint. We camped at Quiniscoe Lake over the July 1 long weekend. Be prepared for all types of weather - it is a high elevation area. Highlights were the hikes, the beauty, mountain goats walking through our campsite and hikes, and just the pure beauty of the park.
