Weight difference between an ABF and VR6 is negligeable really. The only problem with the VR6 is that it sits further forward in the engine bay. So the weight distribution is a little more forward. I have owned 2, and with the right setup they are perfectly fine handling Mk2s. Move battery to boot if you are concerned.
